Up and running

I've wanted to start an early childhood blog for a long time. You might say that early childhood is a big part of my life.

I own a preschool and child care in my home. I care for 8 children every day, ranging in age from 2-6. When I have openings I accept ages 6 weeks to 12 years. To say my job keeps me busy would be an understatement! In the last several years I have gotten involved in both local and statewide early childhood organizations. This year I started making and selling learning games and organizational items for kids and teachers. You know, because I had too much spare time on my hands. All that time left at night after the children go home. And when there are no meetings. And when the house is spotless. You know, all *that* time!

So, this is my blog. I hope to make it a resource for parents, teachers, child care providers, and for me. A place to keep ideas, thoughts, and memories of my days with kids.
